| In The Beginning |
Founded in February 2001 by Ted Kapner, LeadFoot Enterprises
had "the pedal down" from the very start. We were quickly
recognized for clean professional design from print - to product
packaging - to web. LeadFoot was the creative force behind the
very successful
"Doc Burnstein's
Ice Cream Lab" in Arroyo Grande. Ted, as the Creative Director,
is credited with creating the name, theme, and marketing plan for
this very
popular
growing
business.
In 2004 LeadFoot Enterprises received a "Golden Palm" award
from CTAM of Southern California for our work on the Adelphia Communications
HDTV product launch. LeadFoot Enterprises work has been featured
as design examples on Modern
Postcards. Our work can be seen on billboards
along Hwy 101 in San Luis Obispo County as well as throughout Southern
California. Our work has also been in TV Guide, Woman's Day,
Road & Track, LA Dodgers Programs, LA
Lakers
Programs and many other popular publications. |
| About the Creative Director |
 |
|
Ted Kapner, owner and creative director, was immersed in a
creative environment from a very early age. As the son of a theatrical
costume
designer, Kapner grew up at the drafting table. His creativity
soon expanded into music, photography, custom auto & motorcycle
fabrication, and of course graphic design.
Ted worked his way through college as a motorcycle technician,
and graduated from the University of Southern California with
a degree in Marketing. He was immediately recruited by Toyota
Motor Sales USA and went to work in their corporate marketing
department. During his stint at Toyota, Ted had his first real
opportunity to develop print ads for the Fleet Sales Department.
The next step for Kapner was into high-technology. Over
a
span
of almost 11 years at a young semiconductor equipment manufacturing
firm in San Luis Obispo, CA - Ted created and built an inside
sales department and marketing infrastructure from
the
ground
up. He also played an instrumental role in successfully
attaining an ISO 9001 certification for the company. Ted engineered
and managed direct sales and marketing strategies which included:
producing company-wide collateral materials, new
product launches, branding,
advertising,
web development, and tradeshow
activities. During his
tenure, annual sales grew from approximately $6 million to over
$30 million! |
